The dust Jesus told His disciples to shake off was never a shrug. It was a witness.

This book will open your eyes to something you have probably read a dozen times and never once seen: dust.

Not dust as dirt. Dust as witness. When Jesus sends His disciples out in Luke 9 and tells them that if a town will not receive them, they are to shake the dust off their feet as they leave, He is not describing good hygiene. He is describing evidence — a testimony left behind, on purpose, in front of everyone, that the Kingdom truly came near that place, whether or not that place received it. That is where this book starts. By the time you reach the end, you will see that same dust everywhere — in how you were made, in how you will die, in what Jesus already washed off you, and in what the Holy Spirit empowers you to leave behind everywhere you go. That is the promise. Dust made witness, from the ground you came from to the ground you're going back to.
